Supplier & Production Quality Specialist (Automotive) Is This You?

Are you the kind of problem-solver who spots a labeling error before a shipment leaves the dock, traces it back to root cause, and updates the control plan before the next pallet is packed? If yes, you’ll thrive here.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
  • Own quality on the floor—inspections, testing, and rapid containment when issues arise
  • Manage calibration for gauges and metrology assets; keep measurement systems audit-ready
  • Perform shipping audits to verify packaging, labeling, traceability, and documentation
  • Handle nonconforming material, from hold tags to defect containment and disposition support
  • Conduct incoming inspections for raw materials and supplier components
  • Drive root cause and corrective action with 5 Whys and 8D
  • Assist with internal and process audits; contribute to continuous improvement projects
  • Maintain complete, accurate quality records and documentation
  • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns
  • Support new product launches and sample part builds
What Sets You Up for Success
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent manufacturing/quality background preferred
  • At least 2 years in a quality or manufacturing role, ideally in automotive
  • Understanding of IATF 16949 and core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans (preferred)
  • Calibration program experience; skilled with calipers, micrometers, and other metrology tools
  • SPC familiarity and comfort with basic data analysis
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and translate requirements to the shop floor
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and quality management software
