Job description

Presentation Artist
The Presentation Artist creates, modifies, and prepares digital presentation files using design programs such as PowerPoint, Keynote, the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat), and the MS Office Suite. Additionally, as a support service to the Creative Department, a Presentation Artist must be able follow artistic direction, collaborate with Art Directors and executive leadership, as well as be creative, highly organized, and able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines. The Presentation Artist is able to offer creative solutions to visual problems and has a passion for visually engaging presentations.

  • Assists in organization of freelance process
  • Makes corrections to files (art and copy) as indicated by brand team or client. Reviews corrected pages for accuracy and completeness of corrections
  • Collaborates with Art Directors
  • May also assist in creating or editing charts, graphs, logos, etc.
  • Has a keen eye for design and is able to explore and present creative alternatives to visual problems
  • Can clearly and accurately visually represent data, process, and strategy and can boil down complex ideas into simple, compelling graphics
  • Follows-up and follows-through on all assignments
  • Can work quickly, cleanly, efficiently, and effectively under pressure
  • Is well versed in the technical aspect of the programs and keeps up to date on software capabilities
  • Adheres to and monitors agency guidelines related to file naming, file and folder management, back-up/archiving, and un-archiving of digital files.
  • Keeps Digital Studio Manager informed when said guidelines are not being followed.
  • Releases perfect, presentation-ready files as specified
  • Develops and retains brand knowledge (colors, logos, master artwork, style, etc.) of products at the agency and a working knowledge of client process and procedures
  • Attends departmental, product, and pre-production meetings when scheduled
  • Demonstrates high level of digital efficiency
  • Has cross platform proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel—with an expert level understanding of PowerPoint)
  • Projects “customer-centric” attitude in all interactions (internal and external), promoting a positive agency and team atmosphere
  • Projects a professional image, always remaining calm despite high-pressure situation
  • Works with HPS and agency creative groups to design project specific templates in PowerPoint or Keynote using client- and brand-specific graphic elements
  • Ensures all presentation formatting is consistent and adheres to our high standard of quality
  • Complies with HPS procedures and practices with regard to workflow
    and file management
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and Project Managers as necessary
    with regard to status of assigned projects and specific project needs.
  • When applicable, alerts managers when client/account input may cause job to go over budget or deadline
  • Manages time efficiently, meets deadlines, pay attention to detail
  • Displays motivation and enthusiasm
  • Able to set priorities while handling multiple projects
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to enhancing the position
  • Excels at his/her daily work
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date time sheets
Experience
  • College degree with a design background preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in Powerpoint and Keynote production experience and other related design applications (Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Pharmaceutical advertising agency and medical education experience a plus
  • Must be able to work flexible hours when needed
  • Must be open to travel occasionally
  • Quick and proficient Macintosh skills on digital production software including: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Adobe Acrobat,
  • Cross-platform knowledge of Macintosh and PC operating systems
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Deadline driven, detail oriented, and organized with an enthusiasm for collaboration
  • Problem-solving skills a must
  • Must be a self starter
  • Must be solutions-oriented
