Job description

The Homeland Protection Systems Group works with the U.S. Government and other stakeholders to develop, assess, and rapidly transition advanced technologies to address emerging national security priorities in the homeland. In recent years, the group has successfully deployed innovative technology solutions to safeguard the National Airspace, population centers, and critical infrastructure. Leveraging our expertise in complex systems analysis, advanced algorithm development, and hardware prototyping, our team of analysts, engineers, and technologists applies cutting-edge techniques in data analysis, predictive analytics, and systems engineering to solve complex Homeland Protection problems and strengthen national security.

Technical staff employ computing environments such as MATLAB, Python, or Julia to create quantitative analysis products and assist project leads in developing high-impact briefings for Government change-makers. Upon joining the group, the candidate will work with an experienced team to learn about the Homeland Protection mission and develop a career path that matches their technical interests.

  • Basic knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics (e.g., graphical techniques, predictive inference, etc.)
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and rapidly learn new skills
Desired Requirements

  • Experience with source control management tools like Git
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
