Job description

What You'll Do

  • Work with system owners to develop requirements and transform LIMS into a usable system within the systems development life cycle (SDLC) framework.
  • Develop, test, and maintain LIMS databases, user interfaces, and internal/external reports using LIMS Basic, Smalltalk, Postgres, SQL, Crystal Reports, and related languages and tools.
  • Develop, test, and maintain middleware interfaces among the CTI LIMS system and instrumentation in all CTI laboratory locations.
  • Utilize LIMS internal and external utilities to investigate, debug, and correct individual, procedural, and systemic errors or faults.
  • Work with and support IT staff to create and implement best practices for processes and systems; provide leadership to other developers.
  • Communicate IT expectations and results within the organization and to clients.
  • Follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain appropriate project documentation.
  • Participate in system validation activities as needed.
  • Perform, track, and manage related project work as assigned in DevOps and other work tracking systems.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provides detailed recommendations to IT leadership.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years industry experience in related field
  • Experience with programming languages such as LIMS Basic, Smalltalk, Postgres, Remisol, SQL, Crystal Reports and pgAdmin.
