Licensed Mental Health Professional (Remote | Contract)

About the Role

Turing is seeking experienced Licensed Mental Health Professionals to support the development of cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) by evaluating and improving Large Language Model (LLM) responses related to mental health and psychological well-being.

This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians to apply their expertise in an innovative AI environment while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated mental health content for clinical accuracy, safety, and evidence-based practices.
  • Annotate emotional tone, mood indicators, stress markers, and wellbeing-related themes.
  • Identify crisis language, self-harm indicators, and other high-risk content following established safety protocols.
  • Apply evidence-based mental health frameworks, including CBT-based principles, to ensure high-quality annotations.
  • Maintain confidentialityclinical judgment, and cultural sensitivity while reviewing content.
  • Collaborate with the project team to improve annotation quality and guideline consistency.


Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related Behavioral Health field.
  • 3–5 years of direct clinical practice experience using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) experience – Required.
  • Experience with DBT, ACT, or Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health terminology, clinical assessment, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and professional judgment.
  • Ability to work with sensitive mental health content while maintaining professionalism and emotional resilience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Active professional license (LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, PhD/PsyD, or equivalent).
  • Experience in Outpatient Mental HealthCommunity Mental Health, or Behavioral Health settings.
  • Previous experience with AI evaluation, content moderation, data annotation, or quality assurance is a plus.
  • Training in Trauma-Informed Care is an advantage.
  • MacBook preferred.
