The Role
The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Engineer is to collaborate with management, engineering, and production to facilitate the production process.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management, engineering, and production to support manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and pertinent considerations to facilitate production process.
  • Support employee training and development efforts.
  • Prepare reports and analysis required for production, such as tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Review, approve, and/or modify mechanical designs.
  • Review and modify routers
  • Lead and support discrepancy reports, including writing dispositions and participating in corrective action.
  • Create and/or modify router templates.
  • Creates CAD models and drawings of complicated designs using Solidworks, including specifications and tolerance stack ups.
  • Estimate costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
  • Consult and advise internal stakeholders on design elements, such as material consideration, inventory, and production process.
  • Adhere to all internal and external documentation and quality requirements.
  • Conduct and create MCNs.
  • Responsible for conducting Manufacturing Readiness Reviews
  • Lead and support plastic 3D printing initiatives, including design, programming, and execution
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience
  • BS in Manufacturing or related engineering
    • May be substituted by commensurate experience (minimum 4 years)
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including CNC machining and 3D Printing
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 Rev D standards.
  • Proficient in GD&T
  • Excellent communication skills with a desire to build cross-departmental relationships.
  • Proficient at presenting technical information to varying levels within the company.
  • Strong organizational skills.
