Position Description
We are seeking an ASP.NET Applications Developer with 2-5 years of experience building and supporting web applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Blazor. This role contributes to application development, modernization, integrations, and support of ministry technology systems. The ideal candidate writes clean, maintainable code, solves problems well, and works collaboratively in support of the mission of Community Bible Study.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET, and Blazor.
  • Assist with modernization of existing ASP.NET applications and migration to current .NET and Blazor-based solutions.
  • Write clean, well-structured, maintainable code that follows team coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting software applications.
  • Work with SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, queries, and data-driven application features.
  • Collaborate with the IT and development team to understand requirements, estimate work, and deliver assigned tasks within project timelines.
  • Provide application-level support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for internally developed systems and ministry technology tools.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, integrations, support procedures, and code changes.
  • Follow secure coding practices and handle ministry, participants, and organizational data with confidentiality and care.
  • Participate in sprint planning, task estimation, and development coordination as assigned.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, security practices, and software development best practices.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and development efficiency while maintaining accountability for code quality, security, and accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience developing web applications using C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, or related .NET technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Blazor, Razor Pages, MVC, SQL Server, relational database concepts, or other modern .NET web application frameworks.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Tailwind, or component-based UI frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Entity Framework, ADO.NET, REST APIs, and application integration concepts.
  • Working knowledge of source control using Azure DevOps or a similar platform.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services.
  • Formstack, or related cloud and integration platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices, task tracking, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment while also taking ownership of assigned development tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Starting Salary Range
  • Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000
