SPTS is part of the larger Sony Pictures Television (SPT) division. SPT is a Sony Pictures Entertainment Company, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Sony Group Corporation.
Sony Pictures Television Studios (SPTS) is seeking a highly skilled and execution-oriented Senior Designer to support the studio's growing franchise, creative marketing, and promotional design needs across scripted television properties. Reporting to the VP, Creative Director, this role is designed for a modern entertainment graphic designer with strong conceptual instincts, elevated taste level, and deep expertise creating campaign and franchise creative assets across social, digital, promotional, experiential, and partner-facing platforms. This is a highly hands-on role for a designer who can move quickly between creative problem-solving and high-level execution while maintaining strong visual consistency across campaigns and franchise initiatives.
The ideal candidate has experience operating in fast-paced entertainment or agency environments and understands how to create compelling visual work that supports premium television brands, audience engagement, and franchise growth. This role is not focused on long-form sales presentations or external style guide development, but rather on creating high-volume, high-quality entertainment marketing and franchise creative across multiple touchpoints.
Core Responsibilities
  • Concept and execute entertainment marketing creative across:
    • Social graphics and static social campaigns
    • AV graphic packages and motion-based social assets
    • Franchise logos and title treatments
    • Promotional merchandise concepts
    • Licensing and retail support graphics
    • Event graphics and environmental branding
    • Billboard and out-of-home adaptations
    • Streaming and platform promotional assets
    • Digital marketing assets
    • Internal creative presentations and franchise materials
    • Key art adaptations and campaign extensions
  • Create visually compelling graphic systems that support franchise identity, campaign consistency, and audience engagement
  • Design promotional and franchise creative that captures the tone, world, emotion, and visual identity of a series
  • Execute high-volume creative across multiple formats, aspect ratios, orientations, and platform specifications while maintaining strong design standards
  • Collaborate closely with creative leadership, franchise management, social teams, AV teams, production, and marketing stakeholders to bring campaigns and franchise initiatives to life
  • Work directly with creative leadership and stakeholders to interpret strategic direction into polished visual execution
  • Provide design support and direction to freelancers, vendors, illustrators, retouchers, and external production partners as needed
  • Manage and prepare final assets for delivery across print, digital, social, experiential, and AV workflows
  • Organize project files, maintain asset consistency, and ensure deliverables are technically accurate and production-ready
  • Stay current on entertainment marketing trends, platform-native creative behaviors, design aesthetics, typography, fan culture, and evolving social formats

Requirements
  • 5-7 years of professional entertainment design experience within streaming, television, studios, agencies, or related creative environments
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in:
    • Entertainment key art systems

The anticipated base salary for this position is $90K to $117K. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
