Job description

Job Title:                                 Sr. Electrical Engineer Specialist (Digital Design)

Position Summary:
• Support tactical radio products and accessories through digital and analog electrical engineering activities.
• Address critical component shortages and manufacturing challenges to ensure continuous production.
• Collaborate with design engineering and operational teams to support existing products and new business opportunities.
• Design, develop, evaluate, and integrate complex digital hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Architect, design, develop, modify, and integrate digital and analog electronic hardware systems.
• Analyze electrical requirements and evaluate design feasibility within cost and schedule constraints.
• Support manufacturing continuity by resolving technical issues impacting production.
• Prioritize engineering tasks based on technical complexity and business impact.
• Participate in product development from component selection through production implementation and engineering change orders.
• Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic hardware.
• Support prototype hardware bring-up and debugging activities.
• Perform circuit-level verification, optimization, and power consumption analysis.
• Work closely with component manufacturers and suppliers regarding part selection and qualification.
• Support cross-functional teams to meet program and production objectives.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• OR Master's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• OR 10+ years of Digital Electrical Engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Required Technical Skills:
• Analog and Digital Circuit Design.
• Electronic Hardware Development and Verification.
• Schematic Capture and Circuit Layout Knowledge.
• Electronic Component Selection and Qualification.
• Hardware Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis.
• Design Validation and Performance Optimization.

Preferred Skills:
• FPGA development and signal processing implementation.
• DSP (Digital Signal Processing) experience.
• ASIC, PLL, DAC, amplifier, and power supply design knowledge.
• Antenna and control systems experience.
• Experience with prototype hardware bring-up and testing.
• Circuit tuning, analysis, and optimization.
• Power savings analysis and optimization techniques.
• Manufacturing support and engineering change management.

Test Equipment Experience:
• Oscilloscopes.
• Spectrum Analyzers.
• Network Analyzers.
• Signal Generators.
• Other electronic laboratory test equipment.
