Step to Freedom Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team as a full-time Remote Mental Health Specialist. • Conduct thorough client assessments and evaluations to develop tailored therapy strategies based on individual needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic modalities to individuals, couples, families, and groups, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Participate actively in ongoing professional development and training sessions to stay current on advancements in mental health research and practices.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on client cases, sharing insights and strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness of treatment plans.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Step to Freedom, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Many of our clients come from underserved backgrounds, and your role will directly impact their mental health journey by providing the tools and support they need to navigate through challenging life circumstances.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, with a strong preference for those with experience in a community health setting.
• Demonstrated understanding of legal and ethical standards pertinent to mental health services.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a variety of clientele.
• Proven ability to collaborate successfully with a healthcare team, demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive client care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software and relevant technology.

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling is highly desirable.
• Experience employing various therapeutic techniques to address a wide spectrum of mental health issues.
• Previous work within a community health clinic or similar setting is considered an asset.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload. Our compensation package includes:
