Job description

Freedom GMC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warranty Administrator to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all warranty claims and ensuring accurate, timely submission to General Motors. You'll serve as a critical link between our service department, technicians, and the manufacturer to maximize warranty recovery and maintain compliance with GM standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Process and submit all warranty claims to General Motors accurately and in a timely manner
  • Review repair orders to ensure proper documentation, labor operations, and part numbers are recorded
  • Monitor claim status and follow up on rejected or returned claims for resubmission
  • Reconcile warranty receivables and maintain up-to-date records of all open and closed claims
  • Communicate with service advisors, technicians, and the parts department to gather required claim information
  • Stay current with GM warranty policies, bulletins, and procedural updates
  • Prepare for and assist with GM warranty audits
  • Maintain organized filing systems for all warranty documentation
  • Identify trends in claim rejections and provide feedback to improve department processes

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 1–2 years of automotive warranty administration experience preferred
  • Prior experience in a dealership service or parts department is strongly desired
  • Familiarity with General Motors warranty processes and Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK dealership management systems is a plus
  • Working knowledge of OEM warranty submission portals (e.g., GM Global Warranty Management)
