• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to identify clients' mental health and substance abuse histories, ensuring an accurate understanding of their needs.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that address not only addiction but also co-occurring mental health issues, leveraging evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing appropriate therapeutic approaches to engage clients actively in their recovery process.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and case managers, to provide integrated care that fosters optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate and involve clients' families in the treatment process, equipping them with tools and support to assist in their loved one's recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions in compliance with state and federal regulations to support continuity of care.

In this role, you will primarily work with adults struggling with substance abuse disorders, many of whom may also face concurrent mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, or trauma. Your efforts will focus on fostering resilience and recovery, helping clients navigate the complexities of their experiences, and equipping them with essential coping skills for long-term success. By supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, you will elevate your capacity to impact the overall health of the Pittsford community.

• A valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist (PsyD).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, providing a solid academic foundation for clinical practice.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, specifically focused on addiction treatment.
• Specialized training or certification in addiction counseling, enhancing therapeutic effectiveness.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices for treating substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
• Proven ability to maintain a strong therapeutic rapport with clients and motivate them towards their recovery goals.

The compensation for this role is competitive, with an annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
