• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health status and determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Develop and implement tailored therapeutic approaches, utilizing evidence-based techniques that cater to individual client needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, applying culturally sensitive methods to foster a safe and welcoming environment.
• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, providing support and guidance to help clients meet their goals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
• Document client interactions and treatment progress in electronic health record (EHR) systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Remain abreast of the latest developments in mental health care and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities.

You will work with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges, from adolescents grappling with anxiety and depression to adults dealing with complex issues such as substance use disorders or trauma-related disorders. Our center values a culturally competent approach, ensuring that all clients feel understood, respected, and supported as they navigate their mental health journeys.

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid LMHC license issued by the state of New York.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling.
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and cultural competence in therapy.
• Proficient in crisis intervention techniques and capable of maintaining composure in challenging situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology platforms.
• A deep commitment to upholding professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality, and fostering trust with clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing the mental health care experience.

• Experience in delivering group therapy sessions and community-based interventions.
• Background in treating specific populations, such as adolescents or LGBTQ+ individuals.
• Proficiency in teletherapy and remote counseling techniques.
