By utilizing a compassionate approach, we aim to empower our clients on their journey toward recovery.

Work Environment

This position offers a flexible remote work arrangement, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions via telehealth from the comfort of your home. As a part of our remote team, you will collaborate with other mental health professionals while maintaining a work-life balance. Our telehealth facility is equipped with secure, user-friendly technology that ensures confidentiality and ease of access for both therapists and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to assess clients' trauma history and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building, tailoring approaches to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their trauma history, develop effective coping strategies, and promote overall healing and well-being.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to deliver integrated and comprehensive care to clients.
  • Provide essential crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance for clients in critical situations.
  • Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to support their healing process.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance your therapeutic skills and methods.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on individuals who have suffered trauma, including but not limited to survivors of sexual assault, domestic abuse, and other life-threatening experiences. You will work with diverse populations, all seeking support in overcoming past trauma and building new pathways for mental health and well-being.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
  • A strong foundation in trauma-informed treatment methodologies, and skillful application of therapeutic interventions related to trauma-focused care.
  • Experience with various trauma-related disorders and resilience-building approaches.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to convey compassion and understanding toward clients.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting, particularly with trauma-focused therapies.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations while providing empathetic support.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and being comfortable using EHR systems and computer applications.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits package facilitating access to medical, dental, and vision care.
