To thrive as a Phlebotomist, you need a solid understanding of venipuncture techniques, infection control, and specimen handling, typically supported by a phlebotomy certification or completion of a phlebotomy training program. Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS), blood collection equipment, and safety protocols is essential.
