Responsibilities
Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures.
Explain procedures to patients to foster trust and confidence during specimen collection.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens and work activities.
Ensure a safe and professional environment for patients and staff.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant clinical setting.
Required Skills
Proven ability to provide quality, error-free phlebotomy work in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional blood collection skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling and documentation.
Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures and building patient trust.
Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.
Additional Skills & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.
Experience in customer service within retail or service environments is preferred.
Flexibility to work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm, with availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Clean, accurate data entry skills to support efficient lab operations.
