Job Description

The Manager, Treasury Sales is primarily responsible for the management of marketing, selling and implementation of the Bank’s commercial depository services and cash management products; responsible for the development of new cash management business, expansion of existing business relationships, and the servicing of customers; manages complex customer relationships to ensure all needs are addressed; monitors market condition/trends and makes product and pricing recommendations to remain competitive in affected markets.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will manage and direct Treasury Management Officers and Treasury Analysts, determines goals, work priorities and assigns portfolios, interview and recommend candidates, evaluate, orient, counsel and train subordinate personnel and recommend associated personnel actions.
  • You will direct sales management efforts including providing direction and leadership to sales staff and other officers regarding sales activities, develop marketing strategies of new cash management business, the expansion of existing business relationships, and the servicing of customers in multiple geographic areas.
  • You will analyze the effectiveness of programs, recommend changes in policies and procedures to meet goals and objectives, recommend pricing for services to meet business line profitability goals and negotiating fee arrangements with new and existing customers. 
  • You will call on major commercial accounts, top prospect accounts, guides sales team members with complex account relationships, and guides less-experienced member of the sales team in matters relating to policy and complex financial arrangements to develop new relationships with prospective clients, and retain existing business, serves as a resource to banking officers in the areas of marketing.
  • You will define annual department objectives, develop operating plan, including budgets and manpower requirements, in compliance with senior management directives for cash management.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and 8-10 years’ experience in cash management product sales or equivalent related experience. Specialized cash management training; Certified Cash Management (CCM)/Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of banking and cash management products
  • In depth knowledge of product delivery systems and on-line computer systems
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of sales management techniques
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Bank operations
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
