Job description

About the Role
Recurly is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own our Revenue Center product strategy and execution. You'll be responsible for the financial infrastructure that powers merchant trust - covering Fraud, Chargeback, Revenue Recognition (RevRec), and ERP integrations.
This is a high-ownership role. You will define and defend a bold product vision for the financial backbone of Recurly, work across engineering, finance, compliance, and go-to-market teams, and drive outcomes that give merchants the confidence to operate and grow at scale.
What You'll Be Doing
Fraud & Chargeback
  • Own Recurly's fraud detection and prevention product strategy - building tools and integrations that reduce fraudulent transactions while minimizing friction for legitimate subscribers.
  • Drive the chargeback management roadmap: dispute workflows, evidence submission, win-rate optimization, and merchant-facing tooling to reduce revenue leakage.
  • Partner with data science and payment networks to continuously improve fraud signal quality and response automation.

Revenue Recognition & ERP Integrations
  • Own Recurly's revenue recognition capabilities, ensuring merchants can accurately recognize subscription revenue in compliance with ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
  • Build automated RevRec workflows that eliminate manual reconciliation for finance teams and reduce audit risk.
  • Own the ERP integration strategy - defining how Recurly connects with major ERPs (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, SAP, and others) to enable seamless financial data flows.
  • Build a scalable, maintainable integration framework that reduces time-to-connect for new ERP partners and minimizes merchant implementation burden.
  • Strategic Vision & Cross-Functional Execution
  • Perform generative research on problem spaces across all six Revenue Center domains to ideate and prioritize customer-centric solutions.
  • Own and defend theme-based product visions aligned to Recurly's strategic objectives. Deliver outcomes, not just outputs.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Customer teams to drive successful launches and go-to-market execution.

Requirements
Required
  • 5+ years of product management experience at a B2B SaaS company, including taking products from 0-to-1.
  • 2+ years owning products in one or more of: Fraud/Chargeback, Revenue Recognition, or ERP/financial integrations.
  • Deep understanding of subscription billing models and the financial workflows that support them.
  • Experience partnering with Finance, Compliance, and Legal stakeholders to build audit-ready, compliant product features.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - you can drive clarity and influence at the C-suite level and tailor your message to any audience.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and a track record of driving outcomes independently.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition requirements and building product features to support them.
  • Hands-on experience building or managing ERP integrations (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Familiarity with payment network chargeback rules (Visa, Mastercard) and fraud tooling ecosystems.
  • Experience with global tax compliance platforms (Avalara, Vertex, TaxJar, etc.).
  • Revenue recognition is a plus.
