Job Summary:

We are seeking an IT Manager, Restaurant Systems, to oversee point-of-sale (POS) and technology operations for one of our primary brands, while providing support to additional brands as needed. This role will manage POS systems, technology infrastructure, and integrations to ensure reliable, efficient, and secure operations across all restaurant locations. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge of restaurant IT systems, experience managing multi-unit support, and the ability to balance hands-on troubleshooting with strategic system oversight.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

As IT Manager, you will lead and coordinate all technology functions related to restaurant operations. You’ll manage and support POS systems, ensuring data accuracy, uptime, and seamless communication between store-level systems and corporate infrastructure. You’ll oversee installations, configurations, and updates across hardware and software platforms, ensuring alignment with brand and company standards. This includes troubleshooting issues, managing vendor relationships, and supporting payment systems, networking, and restaurant-specific applications. You’ll work closely with operations, finance, and other departments to identify technology needs, streamline workflows, and implement new tools that improve efficiency and guest experience. Additionally, you’ll mentor IT support staff and maintain a high level of service to the field.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (equivalent experience accepted).
  • 5+ years of experience supporting restaurant or retail IT systems, with a focus on POS operations.
  • Strong understanding of POS systems such as Toast, Aloha, Sicom, or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, third-party integrations, and network configurations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience supporting field operations teams.
  • Working knowledge of payment systems, data security, and compliance best practices.
  • Ability to travel to restaurant locations as needed for system support or installations.
