Job description

At Franchise Sidekick, we help people live life on their terms through business ownership, and we've helped place over 10,000 franchises along the way. We're a franchise advisory company on a mission to make the franchise buying process easier, smarter, and less risky. We do this by combining decades of experience, smart technology, and a people-first approach to guide aspiring entrepreneurs toward franchise opportunities that truly fit their goals, lifestyle, and investment level.
We're a growth-phase company driven by purpose, grounded in values, and fueled by the idea that work should feel both meaningful and collaborative. Our team is built on trust, transparency, and genuine support where people show up with passion, share ideas openly, and celebrate wins together. Every Sidekick plays a role in helping clients discover the freedom and fulfillment that can come from owning a business. And we have a lot of fun while we do it.
Role Overview
  • Job Title: Franchise Specialist
  • Job Type: Full-Time W2 Employee
  • Reports To: Senior Specialist
  • Department Head: Chief Growth Officer
  • Location: Remote or Hybrid Work at Omaha Headquarters
  • Compensation: $47,500 Base Salary plus call and deal Commission and Incentives. Expected annual income is $70,000 to $120,000+ depending on sales performance.

Your Impact On Team Sidekick
As a Franchise Specialist, you'll serve as the very first touchpoint for individuals exploring franchise ownership, and the quality of this first conversation sets the tone for their entire Sidekick experience. Your role is structured, consultative, and highly relational. You'll guide leads through 10-15 minute introductory conversations that uncover their goals, motivations, financial readiness, and expectations while helping them feel confident, supported, and clear on next steps.
This is not a closing role. It's a professional guidance role rooted in active listening, emotional intelligence, and the ability to lead someone through an important decision-making process with calm confidence.
You'll ensure clients are qualified for the Sidekick process, normalize financial conversations, handle early questions or objections with empathy, and ultimately schedule them for an Advisor Call - the next step in their journey. In this role, you will work on:
Sales Qualification & Client Connection (40%)
  • Conduct structured discovery calls that uncover a client's goals, motivations, timelines, experience, and investment readiness
  • Set clear expectations for what franchise exploration looks like with Sidekick
  • Professionally and confidently discuss liquidity, investment ranges, and financial preparedness
  • Establish trust quickly through warm tone, clarity, and a human, conversational approach

Call Volume Management & Outreach (30%)
  • Make 50-100 outbound calls daily to self-qualified leads (no cold calling)
  • Maintain high call quality, consultative flow, and consistent booking performance
  • Navigate objections while staying composed, empathetic, and in control of the conversation

Pipeline Management & Handoff Support (20%)
  • Document call notes in HubSpot with accuracy and detail
  • Track lead progress and ensure seamless movement toward an Advisor Call
  • Support Advisors with scheduling and rescheduling when needed

Process Improvement & Team Collaboration (10%)
  • Share insights that help shape a better lead experience and stronger team results
  • Collaborate with Specialists, Advisors, and leadership on continuous improvement
  • Maintain discipline, consistency, and follow-through in a high-volume role

A Day in the Life...
Your day as a Franchise Specialist is a blend of conversation, structure, and rhythm, rooted in the discipline of showing up with consistent energy and focus.
You'll begin by reviewing your inbound leads, planning your outreach, and preparing for a series of 10-15 minute consultative calls. Throughout the day, you'll guide leads through structured conversations where you uncover what truly matters to them: their business goals, fears, motivations, timeline, and financial capacity. You'll normalize financial discussions, handle objections with calm confidence, and help leads feel supported as they take their first step into franchise exploration. You'll capture detailed notes in HubSpot, track progress through the lead pipeline, schedule Advisor Calls, and collaborate with your fellow Specialists and Advisors to create a seamless experience.
This role moves quickly. You'll handle a high volume of similar conversations, adjust based on tone and emotional cues, and bring steadiness, empathy, and professionalism to every interaction. And as part of Team Sidekick, you'll participate in daily huddles, ongoing coaching, and team-wide collaboration that supports constant growth, both in yourself and in the people you serve.
What's In It For You?
  • You Control Your Compensation- We offer a base salary and commission on every converted call and won deal.
  • Paid Time Off- Every Sidekick starts with 16 days of PTO, two floating holidays, and a paid volunteer day annually. We also offer nine paid company holidays each year as well. Team Members earn additional PTO for each year of employment.
  • Franchise Ownership Program- After you're established with Sidekick, we offer a Franchise Purchase Discount which allows you to own your own Franchise Business at a $30,000 to $50,000 savings. Some restrictions and minimum qualifications apply to the discount.
  • Client Referral Commission- We encourage every member of Team Sidekick to utilize their network to find qualified candidates for franchise ownership. We pay $3,000 for every qualified lead you submit that ends up purchasing a franchise.
  • Sidekick Benefits- Sidekick offers the following benefits:
    • Full Medical Benefits with up to $750 monthly Employer Contribution (depending on plan type and level)
    • Employer Paid Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance ($0 cost to employees with options for family coverage)

    • 401k with 3% Employer Contribution (no match required)
    • Home Office Stipend For Remote Workers
    • $1,500 Annual Best Self Stipend for professional and personal development

This Role Might Be a Good Fit For You If You:
  • Are naturally curious and love meaningful conversations that uncover goals, motivations, and deeper insights
  • Have exceptional verbal communication skills and can create a warm, confident, trust-building tone from the first minute
  • Can follow a structured process without sounding scripted - you're conversational, human, and adaptable
  • Are comfortable discussing liquidity, investment levels, and financial readiness in a professional, normalizing way
  • Stay composed under pressure and handle objections with empathy, clarity, and steady control
  • Have experience in consultative sales, customer success, franchise development, or other client-facing roles
