Job Summary
The Fragrance Selling Specialist (FSS) is responsible for providing professional services to customers by selling and demonstrating fragrances and related items and completing transactions through the POS, as well as contributing to the success of the department. The colleague is also responsible for fulfillment and performing other duties as necessary. In this role, colleagues engage customers with personalized fragrance recommendations that reflect their style, mood, and preferences, creating a welcoming and inspiring experience. They demonstrate and sell fragrances through strong product knowledge, including notes, layering techniques, and usage, building confidence and trust with each customer.
Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. All schedules contain weekend shifts as part of the requirements. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability. What You Will Do
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all aspects of total store and have the ability to satisfy the needs of our digital and physical customers by making appropriate partnerships when necessary.
  • Explain and demonstrate use of fragrances through actual application or card application
  • Partner with Fragrance Counter Manager or CSX Manager of inventory and other inaccuracies
  • Attend product training classes and seminars
  • Participate in pre-selling and sales driving events to maximize sales
  • Ensure timely processing of new receipts, damages, testers, and return to vendors (RTVs)
  • Ensure work area is free from hazards and work in a safe manner
  • Adhere to Asset Protection and inventory control and compliance procedures
  • Be in compliance with all hygiene standards
  • Follows shortage programs and procedures
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Build customer relationships through genuine, personalized conversations that encourage repeat visits and long-term loyalty.
  • Drive sales by actively engaging customers, identifying needs, and recommending products that enhance their experience.
  • Achieve and exceed daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service, demonstrating strong selling behaviors and completing transactions through POS.
  • Promote loyalty programs and open credit accounts while educating customers on benefits.
  • Leverage clienteling and digital selling tools to maintain relationships, promote launches, and increase return visits.

Who You Are
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years related experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
  • Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to engage customers with warmth and expertise, assess needs, and recommend products that enhance the shopping experience.
  • Strong selling skills with a focus on achieving sales goals, building loyalty, and acquiring new customers.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform
  • This position requires lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
  • Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision.
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions.
