This position is not expected to personally produce all graphic design or creative materials. East Coast Cannabis will continue to utilize outside designers, printers, photographers, and other creative partners as needed. Instead, this role will help determine what needs to be created, develop campaign direction and creative briefs, coordinate resources, and ensure marketing initiatives are successfully executed.

  • Build and maintain promotional and marketing calendars across retail, wholesale, events, product launches, and seasonal initiatives.
  • Develop campaign concepts, promotional strategies, customer offers, and communication plans.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, and visit frequency.
  • Translate marketing ideas into clear priorities, timelines, deliverables, and measurable goals.
Coordinate Marketing Execution
  • Coordinate email, SMS, loyalty, social media, digital, in-store, and event-based campaigns.
  • Work with the Events & Marketing Specialist to align events, social content, and local-store marketing with broader company priorities.
  • Develop creative briefs and provide direction for outside designers and marketing partners.
  • Coordinate agencies, designers, photographers, printers, and other vendors as needed.
  • Keep marketing initiatives organized and ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
Customer Growth & Retention

  • Evaluate promotions, discounts, loyalty offers, email, and SMS performance.
  • Help balance promotional activity with margin and profitability goals.
  • Recommend opportunities to improve the customer journey and overall engagement
Marketing Performance
  • Establish practical marketing KPIs and recurring reporting.
  • Analyze customer behavior, campaign performance, sales trends, and promotional results.Use data to identify what's working, what isn't, and where marketing resources should be focused.
  • Present actionable recommendations to company leadership.
Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination
  • Collaborate with Retail, Wholesale, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, and company leadership.
  • Support product launches, retail promotions, wholesale initiatives, events, and other company priorities.
  • Establish clear timelines, responsibilities, and approval processes for marketing projects.
  • Help create a more organized and consistent marketing workflow across the company.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience.
  • Previous experience as a Marketing Manager, Senior Marketing Manager, Marketing Strategist, Fractional Marketing Manager, or similar role.
  • Experience developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with CRM, loyalty, email/SMS, customer acquisition, retention, and promotional marketing.
  • Strong project-management and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable coordinating outside designers, agencies, and other creative partners.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate customer and campaign data into practical recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently within a lean organization without a large internal marketing department.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in cannabis, retail, CPG, hospitality, food and beverage, lifestyle brands, or another consumer-focused industry is preferred.
Preferred Systems Experience
  • Dutchie POS, E-commerce, and Dutchie Marketing
