Job description

Description:

Accounting Lead • Outsource Consultants, LLC • Remote (Minnesota) • $33–$38/hr + bonus

About Us

Outsource Consultants is a customer experience (CX) advisory firm that helps organizations design and execute their outsourcing strategy. For the past 13 years, we have partnered with companies across industries and all company sizes to improve operations, customer outcomes, and efficiency through the right balance of people, process, and technology.

We’re a collaborative team of 26 who move quickly, support one another, and genuinely enjoy working together. Our values, Act with Integrity, Teamwork & Partnership, Make a Positive Impact, and Get Better Every Day, guide how we work with both clients and each other.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and takes pride in keeping accounting operations running smoothly.

The Role

We’re looking for an Accounting Lead to own our day-to-day accounting operations in a highly visible remote role supporting our mission.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys balancing detailed accounting work with problem-solving and process improvement. The majority of your time will be managing accounts receivable, daily invoicing, payment reconciliation, and AR follow-up, alongside month-end close, AP, and payroll support using QuickBooks Online and Zoho CRM.

You will work closely with leadership, our fractional CFO, and our controller firm while having the autonomy to manage your day-to-day responsibilities independently.

This role calls for someone who can execute the daily work with precision and also think critically about whether we’re doing it the right way. If you spot a better process, we want to hear it.

This is a remote role for a Minnesota-based candidate working 32-40 hours per week, with quarterly travel to our headquarters.

If this describes you, let’s connect!

Requirements:

  • File 1099s and Minnesota Sales and Use Tax accurately and on time

  • Responsive communicator, same-day replies are your default
  • Take accountability and pride in the accuracy of your work
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal oversight
  • Curious and improvement-minded, you ask questions and bring ideas
  • Google Workspace proficient
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business preferred

What to Expect

  • You’ll report directly to the VP of Organizational Effectiveness with regular touchpoints and an open-door culture
  • A collaborative working relationship with our fractional CFO and controller firm
  • An entrepreneurial environment where your perspective on improving the department genuinely matters
