Accounting Process Auditor / Senior Level Accountant

Department: Operations Reports To: VP, Operations

Position Summary

The Quality Review Specialist is responsible for performing detailed quality reviews of client accounting work to ensure accuracy, timeliness, effective communication, process documentation, and proper document retention. This role provides an additional layer of oversight to support high-quality client deliverables while identifying opportunities for operational improvement across the organization.

The Quality Review Specialist works closely with VP, Operations to maintain quality standards, support process consistency, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and focus-area quality reviews for outsourced accounting clients.
  • Review client workbooks, financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Evaluate compliance with internal processes, documentation standards, and communication expectations.
  • Score reviews using established Quality Review templates and provide detailed feedback notes.
  • Ensure all clients receive required review frequency based on company standards.

Documentation & Systems Management

  • Maintain accurate records within HubSpot, SharePoint, Bizinta, and other operational systems.
  • Update Quality Review tracking metrics including scores, review dates, review types, and reviewer information.
  • Monitor review queues and identify clients overdue for review.
  • Communicate review findings professionally and constructively with Delivery Teams and leadership.
  • Monitor and respond to feedback submitted through the Quality inbox.
  • Collaborate with VP, Operations on reviews that score below company standards.
  • Participate in discussions regarding process improvements and recurring quality concerns.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating Quality Review templates and procedures.
  • Help ensure consistency across client delivery teams and service offerings.
Key Qualifications
  • 6-10 years of Accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting workflows.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently
Shift / Hours

Monday – Friday in one single shift, 1:00 AM CST – 10:00 AM CST, which adjusts to 2:00 AM CST – 11:00 AM CST during Daylight Savings Time. This is 3:00 PM PH– Midnight in PH. Note: due to seasonality of work, some weeks may have 35 hours of work and other weeks may have up to 45 hours. The goal is to average ~40 hours. The client is a CPA firm and will need a little flexibility in hours worked each week to match up with their daily/weekly workload

Business Overview

The client provides Accounting related services to small businesses such as: Bookkeeping, Accounting, Urgency Accounting, Advisory, Fractional CFO and Strategic Planning. Their primary focus is on Bookkeeping/Accounting. Some of their smallest clients only require 5-7 hours per quarter, while others may require up to 15 hours per week. As an Accounting Process Auditor, you would be auditing the work of many Senior Level Bookkeepers, Accountants and Controllers.
