Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Communicates technical information and rational analysis to pavement owners (public and private) for the purpose of asphalt pavement market development;

Provides FPO members with technical assistance;

Facilitates member involvement in FPO through communication of issues between the membership and agencies regarding paving materials, techniques and specifications, environmental regulations, etc.;

Represents the interests of the industry before ODOT, OEPA, and other state, federal, and local government agencies;

Represents FPO on affiliated industry committees and associations, such as OTEC, ASHE, NAPA, etc.;

Develops training curriculum and provides instruction of such;

· Assists in developing technical and promotional publications.

Qualifications and Experience:

Registration in the State of Ohio as a Professional Engineer;

Working knowledge of pavement engineering including: mixture types, pavement thickness design, and pavement maintenance;

Working knowledge of the Ohio Department of Transportation Construction & Materials Specifications;

Adept communicator capable of conveying technical information to a non-engineering audience through written word, oral presentations, and person to person.
