Position Overview

Payroll preparation, processing and reconciliation within a multi-national (US/Canada) payroll base. 

 
This position follows a hybrid work model and is primarily remote. Employees are required to work onsite up to two days per month to perform mail processing and support business operations. Additional onsite attendance may be required based on business needs.


 

What You'll Do:

  • Produces timely and accurate payroll- including all interface and payroll processing activities.
  • Reviews, investigates, and resolves payroll cases and associate inquiries.
  • Manages garnishment inquiries, oversees refund requests with third-party vendors, and ensures timely and accurate resolution of garnishment-related issues.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to research and resolve payroll tax inquiries and direct deposit rejections.
  • Prepares relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
  • Reconciles payroll discrepancies with accounting.
  • Processes incoming mail and distribute correspondence to the appropriate internal departments and external vendors.
  • Captures 3rd party apparel deductions and coordinates invoice approval with accounts payable.
  • Completes payroll data and wage statement requests in support of workers' compensation claims and employment verifications.
  • Collaborate with other payroll team members on key projects.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties as needed or assigned.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, company policies, and internal controls.

Skills We Are Seeking
  • 2-5 years of experience payroll experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Word.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize them.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes and compliance requirements, including multi-state payroll laws and regulations.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll and Time Tracking is required.
  • FPC or CPP is a plus but not required.
