Job description

Sales Engineer - multimillion dollar industrial equipment
Western region sales manager required for large custom systems for castings, forgings, extrusions, and sheet.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Capability to analyze specific markets
  • Introduction of company product line to potential customers with sales meetings and presentations
  • Write complete sales proposals using Microsoft Word and visual content as provided or available
  • Assist in preparation of sales estimates as needed using available templates, obtain quotes for outsourced equipment and installation
  • Assist in development of proposal drawings/models using sketches or markups
  • Commercial and technical negotiations and closing the deal
  • Arrange and participate in PSR ("Project Scope Review) meetings Participate in sales meetings
  • Support Project Team after project kickoff with change orders and customer liaison as required
  • Provide weekly reports and or CRM entries for all sales activities
  • Assist ongoing projects as necessary even if not the primary salesperson for the project, depending on location of project and time availability
  • Coordinate with supervisor to ensure non-duplication of efforts.
  • Supporting Marketing (information about marketing activities necessary, about trade shows, etc.)
  • Constructive support to R&D
  • Maintain full and open liaison with all personnel and members of other departments.
  • Ready for Intensive travel
  • Must meet annual targets goals and expectations

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good communication skills, verbal and in writing
  • Should be well organized and be able to work independently
  • Good software skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Sales experience in metal industry
  • Foundry experience
  • Experience with additional equipment to operate a heat treatment system
  • Additional language knowledge is advantageous

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Sales professional for at least 5 years
  • Experience in selling larger heat treatment equipment
  • Sales experience in metal industry

  • Experience with additional equipment to operate a heat treatment system
  • Familiar with heat treatment technologies for different materials
  • Strong business problem solving, PC, time management and organizational skills. Good knowledge of foundry and machine manufacturing processes and interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
