Pratt & Whitney is constructing an Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF) within its Asheville, NC factory. We're looking for experienced Cell Leader can assist the ACF with site startup on-site, and be heavily involved in long-term production planning.
What You Will Do:
We are seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment to support ACF as a Supervisor. In this role you will be assisting with the start up of the facility, onboard, train and provide direction to skilled employees, leading employee engagement, and driving continuous improvement efforts guided by our Control Tower objectives.
Additionally, you will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system's various elements. In conjunction to daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department's success.
  • Be part of a cross functional team charged with standing up a greenfield foundry in Asheville
  • Participate in process to identify and onboard operators to support facility standup
  • Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts
  • Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system's various elements
  • Perform daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication, and execution with support group members
  • Establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities
  • Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes
  • Work dedicatedly to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals
  • Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health, and Safety (EHS) and Standard Production System (SPS)
  • Drive quality and customer satisfaction through CORE operating system / continuous improvement

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs including Excel
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience working with all levels of management
  • SAP experience
  • Specialized knowledge of technical/operational practices and/or shop environment experience
  • Experience with continuous improvement principles & lean manufacturing

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
