The CEO will advance key priorities by strengthening partnerships, developing staff leadership, and broadening the YMCA's presence throughout the community. This leader will elevate organizational visibility, ensure long-term financial sustainability, and guide the YMCA into its next phase of growth, impact, and community leadership.
Qualifications
Criteria for Candidates:
  • Accredited four-year college degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Fiscally sound business management approach with a proven track record of budgetary and fiscal management of $3 million or more annually.
  • Minimum of seven years of prior experience in a senior management role with a YMCA or related experience at a comparable organization, including direct supervision of multiple levels of staff and employees.
  • Ability to develop and strengthen community relationships.
  • Ability to develop innovative programs and review and enhance programs being offered or considered for both economic sustainability and effectiveness in broadening engagement in the communities served.
  • Strategic planning and fundraising experience, including annual campaigns and securing grants.
  • Strong communication and public engagement skills, with the ability to serve as a visible and credible ambassador for the YMCA's mission.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in progressive budgetary leadership and advanced fiscal management practices.
  • YMCA Organizational Leader Certification or ability to achieve certification within three years.

    Branch Information: The YMCA of Douglas County is a full-service facility of approximately 67,000 square feet in Roseburg, Oregon. The facility serves as a central gathering place for wellness, recreation, youth development, family engagement, and community connection, offering a broad range of spaces designed to support members of all ages and abilities.
    The facility includes a comprehensive aquatic center featuring two indoor pools-a six-lane, 25-yard lap pool and a 25-yard therapeutic/recreation pool with lift accessibility-along with two hot tubs, a sauna, and a steam room.
    Fitness amenities include a full wellness center with cardio and strength areas, free weights, functional training space, personal training areas, two group exercise studios, and a 3,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor functional fitness courtyard.
