Job description

Maintenance Technician

Forza Property Management LLC is currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. We are looking for someone who has attention to detail and looks for solutions when a problem presents itself.
Forza Property Management LLC is committed to affordable, safe, and well-maintained housing. We are in Eastern Jackson County and oversee a group of a single and multi-family homes.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair and ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems – replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Assist the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems. Conduct repairs on those systems as needed.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems.
  • Inspect fire and protection alarm systems; schedule repairs when needed.
  • Conduct manual repairs when necessary – fix locks, replace windows, etc.
  • Perform routine maintenance on building systems.
  • Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities.
  • Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Interact with and update tenants on the repair schedule as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • HVAC experience preferred.
  • Experience as a Maintenance Technician or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Understanding of electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Job Location
  • Multiple Locations: Our properties are multi-site which means part of your daily job is moving from work site to work site. A valid driver’s license is required to meet the multi-site context of this position.
Work Schedule
  • Weekdays
  • Overtime on weekends when needed due to emergency maintenance tickets.
Salary
  • $17.00-22.00/hour Depending on Experience
