Job description

Estimator – General Construction

Location: Peachtree City, Georgia Marietta, Georgia

Company: Forza Group, Inc.

About Forza

At Forza Group, we are more than builders — we are partners in creating large-scale industrial and commercial facilities that drive progress for our clients. With a reputation for precision, collaboration, and execution, we take pride in delivering complex projects that shape the future. Our ability to self-perform key trades — including engineering & design, process mechanical, structural steel, and electrical scopes — gives us a unique edge in controlling quality, safety, and schedules. While this Estimator position will not be responsible for pricing self-perform work directly, you will have access to in-house expertise and benchmarking resources that strengthen the accuracy and competitiveness of our estimates.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Estimator to join our preconstruction team. This position serves as a mid-level estimating role, responsible for independently preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects while supporting senior leadership on larger or more complex pursuits.

The Estimator will manage full-scope estimates on small-to-mid-sized projects and contribute significantly to larger project pursuits. This role requires a strong understanding of construction means and methods, subcontractor coordination, cost analysis, and value engineering.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects.

· Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and pricing for all CSI divisions.

· Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to ensure complete scope coverage.

· Identify project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.

· Develop conceptual budgets, schematic estimates, and GMP proposals.

· Manage subcontractor/vendor outreach including bid leveling and scope clarification.

· Coordinate with Forza’s self-perform divisions to incorporate internal pricing when applicable.

· Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and internal strategy sessions.

· Assist in proposal development including clarifications, exclusions, value engineering narratives, etc.

· Support handoff to operations by ensuring estimate completeness and documentation accuracy.

· Maintain and contribute to historical cost databases and estimating assemblies.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 3–7 years of progressive estimating experience in commercial or industrial construction.

· Experience preparing full-scope estimates independently for projects up to approximately $10M–$25M.

· Strong knowledge of construction means and methods across multiple trades.

· Proficiency with estimating software (ProEst preferred) and Microsoft 365.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Why Join Forza?

· Opportunity to lead estimates on high-profile, large-scale projects.

· Be part of a collaborative, growth-focused team that values innovation and accuracy.

· Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.

· Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

· Professional growth and leadership opportunities in a fast-growing company.
