What are forwarding agents?

Forwarding agents, also known as freight forwarders, are professionals or companies that organize the shipment of goods from one place to another. They act as intermediaries between shippers and transportation services, coordinating the logistics, documentation, customs clearance, and sometimes storage of goods. Forwarding agents do not usually own the transportation equipment themselves but leverage their expertise and networks to ensure goods are shipped efficiently and in compliance with international regulations. Their services are essential for businesses involved in importing and exporting products globally.
