Job description

Aurora Material Solutions, a leader in polymer manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Extrusion Production Operator to join our growing team. If you have strong attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this could be the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
- Batch & Blending Formulation: Assemble batches and operate all blenders per formulation sheets. Clean and load batches into blenders as assigned.
- Plastic Extrusion Line Operation:
- Set up, run, and monitor plastic extrusion lines to ensure consistent product flow and quality.
- Perform in-process inspections and continuously adjust machine settings to maintain optimal production rates.
- Troubleshoot and correct line stoppages or issues in real time to minimize downtime.
- Assist with startup, shutdown, and product changeover procedures according to established work instructions.
- Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished products. Operate fork trucks and forklifts when necessary.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain all machinery and work areas to ensure a safe, efficient production floor.
- Product Packaging: Package finished products according to specifications and complete all relevant documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Understand and follow all quality processes to guarantee production of high-quality materials. Maintain accurate batch and process records.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE in a manufacturing environment.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with Shift Leads, team members, and other departments to support smooth production.

What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to operate forklifts and fork trucks.
- Previous experience with plastics extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proven attention to detail, initiative, and reliability.
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs without assistance.
- Willingness to work in a plant environment with varying temperatures, loud noises, and moving machinery.
