The Position
Our client is seeking to fill a Consumer Loan Underwriter - Indirect Lending role in the Milwaukee, WI area. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding member experiences by matching customer needs with the Bank's lending solutions including auto, personal, home equity loans, as well as ancillary loan products. Responsible for interviewing and gathering the needed items for loan approval.
This position comes with a generous salary of up to $85K and a full benefits package. (This is not a remote position)
Consumer Loan Underwriter - Indirect Lending responsibilities include:
  • Applies proper risk management, fair lending and regulatory compliance to be consistent with the organization's credit policy for all credit decisions.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally and finds resolutions with dealers and other departments regarding decisions or conditions required for loans to be funded.
  • Keeps current with knowledge of lending updates, criteria guidelines, procedure, policies and processes in order to make sound lending decisions.
  • Verifies accuracy of information submitted with loan application from the bank's dealer network. Ensures application information matches, calculate/verify income information, verify tax and employment information, review all other related documents.
  • Approves or denies loans based on risk factors within approved authority level.
  • Meets or exceeds the underwriting standards established for reviewing loans that fall into an underwriting review queue.
  • Maintains an acceptable level of quality as determined by established loan error standards.
  • Assists in conducting audits to ensure loan policies and procedures are followed.
  • Performs other duties as required.
