Job description

Position eligible for a sign-on bonus if certain conditions are met, including but not limited to: (i) acceptance of a full-time position (0.9 FTE or greater) (ii) if a former employee, must have been separated from the organization for at least 12 months (iii) certain job related experience requirements may apply (speak with your HR representative)

  • Assists surgeon by passing sterile articles, retracting tissue, counting and handling of surgical specimens
  • remains alert to and safeguards against patient injury from electrical/mechanical hazards while guarding asepsis.

Required Education:

Minimum:

  • High School Graduate
  • Graduation from a formal accredited surgical technician training program.

 

Required Experience:

  • none

Preferred:

  • Two years surgical technician experience
  • 2 years’ experience with Open Hearts
  • Experience with CV procedures

Required Certification/License/Registry:

  • Certified Surgical Tech Certification
