Role Summary

The Driller’s Assistant supports the drilling crew in daily drilling operations. Responsibilities include moving, setting up, and operating related equipment to assist with drilling activities. This role requires repetitive bending, lifting, climbing, and the ability to work collaboratively within a small crew environment. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and is generally physically demanding.

This position involves regional and national travel throughout approximately 80% of scheduled workdays, combining the adventure of working in new places with the stability of steady, full-time work.

Compensation Range

Estimated annual earning potential: $82,000–$102,000, including overtime, per diem, and bonuses.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be reliable and a hard worker

• Must have a valid driver’s license AND a clean MVR (driving record)

• CDL or OSHA 40hr trained a plus but not required

• Able to push, pull, lift heavy equipment

• Able to work outside in a variety of elements

• Drug screen required

• Assisting Driller in performing drilling operations (change drill rods, install casing, etc.)

• Assist in setting up drill site

• Follow all safety procedures

• Housekeeping of drill site and equipment

• Operate equipment (forklift, backhoe, etc.)
