Job description

Our client is seeking skilled machine operators to fill an opening at a polymer plant in Spartanburg, SC.
Job Title: Fiber Spin Operator
Schedule: 4 days on and 4 days off, 12-hour shifts. Swing shift which means working a month on First shift then rotating and working a month on night shift. 
Pay rate $20.89/hr.
Qualifications
  • Strong background in machine operating.
  • Be able to operate can-lifter and fork-lift
  • Be able to lift up to 60 lbs. for extended periods of time
  • Have ability to work alone or in a team setting
  • Have basic computer skills for data entry
  • 2-3 years of production / manufacturing experience required
  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts in hot/cold environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment as well as individually
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed
  • Manufacturing: 1 year (Required)

Specific Duties
  • Operate can-lifter. (Transport empty cans to spin and full cans to stretch area).
  • Look for opportunities to improve machine efficiency, improve quality, and reduce waste.
  • Be able to read and write and perform all duties by SOP's. Be able to perform mathematical equations.
  • Operate hoist used to transport batteries.
  • Data entry.
  • Operate fork-lift and can-lifter in a Safe and Efficient manner.
  • Perform any special instructions and/or duties as specified by management.
