Job description

When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. But that is not all. Your work also helps ensure that vital medicines reach patients on time and supports other essential deliveries, from wind turbines to semiconductors. At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine.

You will be responsible for completing all daily and weekly Foreign Trade Zone tasks, including reporting inventory receipts, shipments, and adjustments to CBP, as required. These activities support Kuehne+Nagel's client under the OnSite Foreign Trade Zone Managed Services function.

How you create impact
  • Serve as the direct client contact for all FTZ specific functions performed by Kuehne+Nagel under the FTZ Services Agreement
  • Prepare and submit all required documentation, including Admissions (e214), Weekly Withdrawals (CF3461/CF7501), and quarterly and annual filings to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), ensuring timely submission and full compliance with all recordkeeping requirements for the client's FTZ site
  • Initiate customs entries, export transactions, and zonetozone transfers for merchandise entering or leaving the zone, as necessary
  • Partner with the Foreign Trade Zone Project Manager and Control Tower to ensure the procedures manual is current, accurate, and compliant with all applicable government regulations
  • Maintain complete and compliant records, ensuring all documentation is readily available for CBP review when required
  • Validate data against supporting documentation to confirm accuracy and ensure proper system integration
  • Conduct audits of FTZ transactions and processes and provide recommendations to the client for operational improvements
What we would like you to bring
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
  • 3+ years in similar role from logistics, freight forwarding, or trade compliance
  • Strong understanding of FTZ regulations, CBP procedures, and HTS classification
  • Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel) and eperience withWMS/FTZ inventorysoftware is needed
  • High attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong communication for client/regulatory interaction
