As a Forecasting Manager, you will be responsible for supporting business objectives through the development, maintenance, and communication of forecast models, strategic analyses, and market insights. This role leads forecasting activities for select business segments, including Government channel and Puerto Rico, and serves as the lead to Long Range Planning. The individual partners closely with Commercial, Government team, Finance, Marketing, Market Access, Sales, and other cross-functional stakeholders to provide data-driven insights that support business planning and decision making.

In addition, this role supports the broader forecasting function by contributing analyses, presentations, and forecast inputs to the broader brand forecast.

This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You'll Do

Forecasting:

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate bottom-up forecasts for select business segments, products, and targets using market knowledge, primary and secondary research, historical performance, and key business drivers.
  • Support the development of the overall forecast team by providing analyses, assumptions, model updates, scenario planning, and forecast-related deliverables.
  • Develop forecasting scenarios and sensitivity analyses to quantify business risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure forecast assumptions are aligned with market events, competitive dynamics, policy changes, and commercial strategies.
  • Partner with stakeholders to incorporate key business insights into forecast projections and communicate forecast rationale effectively.

Long Range Planning:

  • Lead forecaster for top-down Long Range Plan and support strategic planning processes.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess market opportunities, business risks, and growth drivers.
  • Translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations for leadership teams.
  • Support business case development, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives through forecasting and analytical assessments.
  • Assist in evaluating forecast performance and identifying drivers of variance between forecasted and actual results.

Market and Competitive Insights:

  • Monitor market dynamics, policy changes, competitive activities, and industry trends that may impact forecast performance.
  • Leverage internal and external data sources to identify key market drivers and incorporate findings into forecast assumptions.
  • Partner with Competitive Intelligence, Market Research, and Commercial teams to assess market developments and business implications.

Internal and Field Stakeholder Management:

  • Effectively communicate and partner with internal and external stakeholders to gain agreement on the forecast, business objectives and the action plan to achieve them

Process:

  • Builds and establishes Forecast Center of Excellence. Consistently implements all forecasting and analytical protocols, procedures, and standards in a timely manner.
  • Investigates data enhancements and discrepancies across forecasting and data analytics teams.
  • Advances Machine Learning forecast and forecasting tools.

Teamwork and Collaboration:

  • Contribute to the team's performance, actively collaborate within and beyond the team to design and ensure buy-in around solutions

Leadership:

  • Support an environment of candor; takes accountability

Experience You'll Bring

Required

  • BA or BS degree required, MBA, Masters is preferred
  • 5+ years of forecasting experience desired, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel models and in market BI tools
  • Possesses strong business acumen and interpersonal skills
  • Strong executive presence and analytical, quantitative, and communication skills

Preferred

  • 3+ years forecasting experience incl. market and strategic planning and data analytics
  • Experience with ML/AI forecasting and predictive modelling
  • Marketing science/secondary data analytics/strategic management consulting experience
