Registered Nurse Mother Baby- Part Time, Nights

Status: Part Time

Shift: Third

About the Unit:

Registered Nurse Serves postpartum patients with all-private rooms plus a newborn nursery. Mother/Baby RN care for moms and their babies as units. During the night, nurses are assigned to moms and babies separately. Nursery Registered Nurse attend deliveries and complete initial assessments. Lactation consultants are available for patient and staff teaching. New graduates are welcome.

Job Summary:

Registered nurse implements the nursing process for each assigned to his/her care regardless of age (i.e.infancy to geriatric) and is responsible for the patient's care consistent with the Kentucky Nursing Laws andorganizational policies and procedures. The registered nurse promotes positive patient outcomes, and thedelivery of quality patient care and initiates change through active involvement in the unit-based and hospitalshared governance councils while contributing to a healthy professional practice environment.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in nursing.

  • Active Kentucky License.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 90 days of hire.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 6 months of hire.
