In this purpose driven role, you will:
The Assistant Director of Nursing - RN plays a vital leadership role within the skilled nursing facility, supporting clinical operations while ensuring the highest standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff development. This position serves as a key liaison between nursing leadership and frontline staff, fostering teamwork, accountability, and continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Promote continuity of care by coordinating nursing services with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, residents, and families.
  • Assess staffing needs; participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training nursing staff to ensure appropriate coverage across all shifts.
  • Develop staff schedules and assignments; monitor performance to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery.
  • Support daily facility start-up and assist with the implementation and monitoring of the nursing department's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
  • Serve on the Quality Assurance Committee and other interdisciplinary teams to drive clinical excellence and regulatory readiness.
  • Assist in reviewing clinical records, audits, and consultant reports; help develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Provide support with MDS assessments, care planning, and clinical documentation as needed.
  • Review compliance reports and ensure nursing services consistently meet regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in the facility's on-call rotation and perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF).
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program from a vocational school, college, or university.
  • Active Texas RN license in good standing.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
