Job description

Join DOF as our Graduate Engineer

The Graduate Engineer supports engineering projects and technical work under the guidance of experienced engineers. This role assists with engineering design, documentation, and project deliverables. The Graduate Engineer may also support offshore and on-site project activities as needed. This position provides an opportunity to develop technical skills and gain experience across various engineering projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately record and submit timesheets by required deadlines, including hours worked by deliverable.
  • Complete required company, industry, safety, medical, and offshore training requirements.
  • Work under the guidance and mentorship of senior engineering personnel.
  • Support the development and maintenance of engineering and management system documentation as needed.
  • Apply health, safety, and environmental requirements throughout engineering design, work package development, and offshore operations.
  • Identify and report safety concerns, hazards, near misses, and incidents, and support a safe working environment.
  • Ensure engineering procedures, designs, equipment, and deliverables meet applicable risk assessment, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Apply relevant engineering standards, codes, company procedures, and project requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement and practical, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Produce accurate, clear, and compliant technical documentation and deliverables.
  • Assist with engineering and HSE initiatives, including vessel safety documentation, as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (as minimum) and eligibility for membership of a national certifying institute (PE / EA / IMechE / RINA etc)
