JOB TITLE:
Football Video Student Assistant
JFNTMP
JOB PURPOSE:
This position begins August 3rd. There may be brief training sessions prior to this date. During Fall Camp (August 4th- August 30th), must be available every-day from 8:30 am - noon. During the Football Season: availability is needed from Sunday through Thursday from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm along with Gamedays (these times vary and normally are on Saturdays)
Hiring preference will be given to applicants who are available during specified practice times. During August, applicants should be available to work 25-30 hours a week. During the school year, applicants will have an opportunity to work 15-18 hours a week. In March & April availability will be needed for Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with availability on Saturday mornings & afternoons. Individuals will need to be available to work practices and home games during the fall and/or spring seasons. In addition, students may have the opportunity to travel with the team for away games. Other opportunities to work may include NFL pro day in March and summer football camps in June.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the football staff in preparing video and other materials to evaluate player performance, as well as other duties assigned by the video coordinator or recruiting coordinator. The primary responsibilities of this position are filming UW football practices & games and working with the recruiting coordinator to prepare and organize recruiting materials for prospective student-athletes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: GED or High School Diploma
Currently a UW Student
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to remain calm in difficult and stressful situations
  • Previous experience working with video cameras and/or Photoshop preferred but not required
