Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Supervise all Dining Room activities in all care levels. Manage services within budgetary guidelines, while meeting or exceeding service standards.  Responsible for all front-of-the-house activity, including catering and special events.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position.  This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned.

Plan, staff, organize and coordinate all activities in dining areas of all care levels.

Responsible for continuous evaluation and Quality Assurance audits of Dining Services.

Be available to provide timely service support to Dining Room personnel as needed.

Assist Dining Service Director in the development of operating budget.

Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.

Responsible for the accuracy of meal count reports.

Perform all other reasonable tasks assigned by your supervisor.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Hold regular in-services and training sessions with staff.

Maintain up to date employee records.


QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Requirements and Experience: 

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited course in food service training

Two years food service experience with knowledge of volume preparation, catering banquets, decorative buffets, and special events.
