Director of Marketing & Public Relations The Setai, Miami Beach This position does not offer relocation services. Position Summary The Director of Marketing & Public Relations is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing, branding, digital communications, and public relations initiatives that strengthen The Setai's position as one of the world's leading luxury hotels. This role drives brand awareness, revenue growth, guest engagement, and media visibility while ensuring all communications reflect the hotel's Forbes Five-Star standards and luxury positioning.

Working closely with the General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, Food & Beverage, Spa, Revenue Management, and Corporate Leadership, the Director develops integrated marketing strategies that maximize hotel, restaurant, spa, and residential revenues while protecting and elevating The Setai brand. This position also oversees relationships with PR agencies, media partners, influencers, photographers, creative vendors, and tourism organizations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Marketing Strategy Develop and execute annual marketing and communications plans aligned with business objectives.

Create seasonal marketing campaigns to increase occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, restaurant revenue, spa revenue, and local market awareness. Identify market opportunities, consumer trends, and competitive insights. Develop and manage the annual marketing budget while maximizing return on investment.

Monitor campaign performance and recommend strategies to improve results. Brand Management Protect and maintain The Setai brand identity across all communication channels. Ensure all marketing materials reflect the hotel's luxury positioning and Forbes Five-Star standards.

Oversee brand guidelines, photography, videography, and creative assets. Maintain consistency across hotel, spa, restaurants, residences, and special events. Public Relations Develop and execute public relations strategies that increase brand visibility.

Manage relationships with PR agencies, journalists, editors, influencers, photographers, and content creators. Coordinate media visits, press stays, interviews, and familiarization trips. Prepare press releases, media kits, executive communications, and crisis communication plans.

Digital Marketing & Social Media Oversee website content, digital advertising, SEO, SEM, and email marketing initiatives. Develop and implement the hotel's social media strategy. Manage content calendars and ensure all content reflects the luxury guest experience.

Monitor online reputation, guest reviews, social media engagement, and digital performance analytics. Support direct booking initiatives through digital marketing campaigns. Food & Beverage & Spa Marketing Develop marketing initiatives for restaurants, bars, spa, wellness experiences, and special events.

Promote seasonal programming, culinary experiences, wine dinners, and wellness offerings. Collaborate with department leaders to create compelling promotional campaigns. Leadership Lead and develop the Marketing & Public Relations team.

Manage relationships with agencies, creative partners, photographers, and vendors. Collaborate with department leaders to support revenue goals and guest engagement. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with The Setai brand standards.

Qualifications Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree preferred. Minimum 7 years of progressive marketing leadership experience in a luxury hotel, luxury resort, or luxury hospitality environment.

Previous Forbes Five-Star or comparable luxury hotel experience strongly preferred. Proven experience managing branding, public relations, digital marketing, social media, and integrated marketing campaigns. Experience managing marketing budgets, agencies, media partnerships, and campaign analytics.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Strong leadership, presentation, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM systems, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and other digital marketing platforms. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Ability to attend meetings and events throughout the property. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when handling marketing materials or event displays. Ability to travel locally and occasionally internationally for industry events, media opportunities, and luxury hospitality conferences.
