Job description

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to immediately fill the role of Lead Warehouse Associate. This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the supervision of the warehouse team and effective operation of packing, shipping, receiving and inventory
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in running the warehouse
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation of items for shipping, receiving, storing and inventory
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments, which includes lifting and carrying materials
  • Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures
  • Review shipping discrepancies as needed and work to rectify problems with relevant team members
  • Assist with inventory counts
  • Order warehouse supplies when needed
  • Assist in the selection, training, motivation and review of team members

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory role
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
