Job Title: Flow-Wrapper Packaging Operator
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $20-$22/hour
Job Type:
  • Full-Time (35-40 hours/week)
  • Weekends required
  • Shift: Monday - Friday, occasional weekends as needed
  • Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays on occasion

Position Overview:
We're looking for a Flow-Wrapper Packaging Operator with hands-on experience operating Ilapak horizontal flow-wrapper packaging machines (or similar models). In this role, you'll keep production lines moving and ensure our baked goods are packaged consistently, efficiently, and shelf-ready. If you're mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and experienced in food packaging, this is a great opportunity to join our growing team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor horizontal flow-wrapper packaging machine(s)
  • Set up machine for different product runs, including film roll changes and adjustments
  • Package finished baked goods accurately, maintaining speed and quality standards
  • Inspect product appearance to ensure packaging meets quality requirements
  • Perform daily cleaning, sanitation, and basic preventative maintenance
  • Assist with machine disassembly/reassembly for deep cleaning and troubleshooting
  • Identify and report equipment issues promptly to supervisors/maintenance
  • Follow all Food Safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines
  • Support production team with additional tasks as needed
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Food Handler's Card (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • 6+ months of experience operating Ilapak (or similar horizontal flow-wrapper) machines required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Prior food production or food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to stay organized and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs and stand for extended periods
