Are you a financially savvy food service leader who thrives in a dynamic, high-profile corporate environment? Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking an experienced Food Operations Manager 2 to support a premier account at the Federal Reserve Bank in Richmond, VA.
This role is perfect for someone who loves numbers, insights, and impact-and who also enjoys being connected to day-to-day operations without being hands-on in the kitchen.
About the Operation
You'll support a diverse, hospitality-forward food program that includes:
  • Corporate Café with 5 stations (grill, deli, entrée, global cuisine, salad bar + rotating pop-ups)
    • Café hours: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM
    • 24-hour Grab & Go with self checkout
  • Starbucks® licensed location
    • Open 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Executive Dining Room
    • Elevated lunch buffet, 4 days per week | 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM
    • Catering production for the building
  • Team size: 24 hourly employees on site
The Role at a Glance
This position is 70% finance-focused and 30% operationally engaged-ideal for a finance professional with food service experience who wants to be deeply embedded in the business.
You will serve as a trusted financial and operational partner to General Managers and Operations Leaders, helping drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

M-F 6am to 4pm with some evenings, no weekends
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Analysis (Primary Focus)
  • Lead daily, weekly, monthly financial reporting with accuracy and consistency
  • Own weekly flash reports, including analysis of:
    • Volume
    • Labor
    • Food cost
    • Settlements with clear root-cause explanations
  • Deliver insight-driven forecasts and performance trends
  • Manage all financial matters across cost centers, including:
    • Account reconciliations
    • AR / AP
    • Billing
    • Budgeting
    • Inventory & transfers
  • Perform trend and year-over-year variance analysis to support budgeting and decision-making
  • Partner with General Managers to:
    • Optimize labor
    • Control food cost
    • Improve margins
  • Provide ongoing financial coaching to GMs, Chefs, and Operations Leaders
  • Monitor labor trends and staffing efficiencies, recommending adjustments as needed
  • Manage ABC and business licensing compliance
Operational Support & Engagement
  • Be present in the operation, supporting:
    • Café oversight
    • Starbucks initiatives
    • Catering and special events
    • Marketing and program rollouts
  • Assist with implementation of new programs and concepts
  • Support leaders where needed to ensure smooth daily operations

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
