Job description

SUMMARY

The Cold Food Production Agent is responsible for preparing, organizing, and assembling cold food items and catering carts according to airline and customer specifications. This role supports Sky Café operations by ensuring food items are handled safely, maintained at proper temperatures, and prepared within required timelines to meet flight schedules. The Cold Food Production Agent works in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment and must follow all food safety, sanitation, airline, and company requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, portion, assemble, and organize cold food items according to airline specifications, menu requirements, and production schedules.
  • Build and stock catering carts, trays, and containers in accordance with customer loading diagrams and established procedures.
  • Work in refrigerated and temperature-controlled environments to maintain required food safety standards.
  • Verify food items, quantities, labels, and cart contents for accuracy before release to the next stage of operations.
  • Place cold packs or other temperature-control items as needed to maintain the cold chain.
  • Inspect food products for quality, freshness, packaging accuracy, and proper labeling.
  • Follow established food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures at all times.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain work areas, equipment, trays, utensils, carts, and containers according to company procedures.
  • Unload, sort, and process returned carts, equipment, and food service items as needed.
  • Dispose of waste and recoverable items properly and in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Report equipment issues, food quality concerns, safety hazards, or operational delays to leadership.
  • Comply with all Sky CafĂ©, airline, airport, food safety, and safety management policies.
  • Work closely with team members, leads, supervisors, and managers to complete production assignments within required timeframes.Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain airport, airline, and/or government-required credentials, clearances, or permits, as applicable.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required food safety, airline-specific, and company training.
  • Must be able to work in refrigerated or temperature-controlled environments for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and variable schedules as required.
  • Previous food production, catering, kitchen, warehouse, or airline catering experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
