Job Title: Machine Operator


SUMMARY: 

Sunrider Manufacturing in Midlothian, Texas is looking for a Machine Operator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity, where you will be Tends to various Food production machines.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

include the following but are not limited to. (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Operates machine under the supervision of an experienced operator.

  • Able to do basic assembly and disassembly of the machine.

  • Able to properly clean and sanitize machine parts.

  • Reads specifications to determine material requirements, and proper machine set up.

  • Monitors the machine operation to detect product defects,  machine malfunctions, or the need for any adjustments.

  • Performs minor adjustments needed for the machine to run effectively under the supervision of an experienced operator.

  • Ensures proper product is being filled.

  • Feeds product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, and unloads wrapped product.

  • Fills out required daily production reports.

  • Cleans and sanitizes machinery after each run according to GMP guidelines.

  • Ensures quality product is being produced.

  • Maintains an organized work area.

  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.

  • Follow GMPs as outlined by company policy.

  • Follow safety rules as outlined by company policy.

  • May be requested to work in other production departments as needed.

  • Assists with yearly inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

REASONING ABILITY:  

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
